Los Mellos Cleaning Services began in 2011 when Margarita Villaman—a single mother and immigrant from the Dominican Republic—decided to build a better future for her family. She named the company after her twin sons, Joshua and Joel. “Los Mellos” means “The Twins” in Spanish.
What started as a mother’s dream has grown into a trusted Boston-based business providing snow removal, landscaping, and janitorial services across the city. For more than a decade, Los Mellos has created stable jobs for local residents and opened doors in an industry often led by men.
With continued support from the City of Boston and the Mayor’s Office of Housing, Los Mellos keeps moving forward—serving the community, growing opportunities, and honoring the family values it was built on.
Los Mellos Cleaning Services, Inc. has been certified as a Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and Woman Business Enterprise (WBE).
